I have been lazy and I have enjoyed it. Right now I'm paying for it in anxiety towards last minute homework.
The thing is, I always get it done. But right now, I know that this project will be done half assed. In a way, I don't really mind. I don't much care for it. I still feel bad though.
I'm not sure if it's the seasonal changes or just the time in the school year but everyone seems a little out of sorts lately. I dunno... I know I haven't been in the best head place. Tonight especially. I just want to stay up for hours doing nothing and then sleep tomorrow away.
The problem of learning to share a bed is that you eventually get used to having someone else in it.
A teacher once told me that the 2nd year of university was the hardest.

Dear blog.
Here, have some recent stuff of mine. The lighting is bad on all of these. I apologize.
Live model Painting.

.... and two Intaglio monoprints. These especially did not photograph well. I'm going to have to figure this whole documentation thing better... sigh
PS- I have done nothing today.

Serious attempts at time wasting.
Alright folks, here's the deal. I'm supposed to be writing an essay right? But I'm not (at least not right now [don't worry, it's sort of almost done]). Instead I have been investigating an idea that had been bouncing around my head for a while now. I'm starting to seriously consider the life of a painter, for whatever reason. Essentially it is the only thing that I can picture myself, at this point in time, doing for the rest of my life without getting bored with it. And that is really the best I can do for an explanation right now.
AAAAAanyways, my point is that if I'm into this whole art crap deal I think I'm going to have to eventually dip my toe into exhibiting some work. Effin scary. The VAV gallery (for non Concordia Fine Arts students thats the student art gallery) is accepting submissions for the winter/spring 2008 season and I am considering submitting some work. I am scared shitless (Firefox does not consider shitless a word... hah.) at the very idea. First of all, I can't really think of a common theme in all my paintings that I would talk about in an artist's statement. Second of all, I can't really think of enough paintings or drawings or anything that I am satisfied with that I would want to exhibit. I am terrified that whoever reads these will scoff at my very attempt to submit work. I can just see it now... "what the hell is this girl thinking? Why on earth would we show THIS?
.....
FUUUUUUCK ........
Anyways, I keep telling myself that the worst thing that could happen is that they say no.
Right?
....
My stomach is in knots even thinking about it.....
