a list of things that arent jello

~i started this earlier on in the evenning until viki called and we had a lenghtly discussing about everything and anything, as usual~

i thought that was funny when i read it. i stole it off of an online comic called Pihakwa so far, the comic (more of an online story) is confusing as hell but with really cool artwork with really random updates (once a week to 3-4 times a week). anyways, check it out.

i just got back from soccer practice. i smell bad. this doesnt bother me all that much... i much rather smell bad from exercise then just not washing until midday. for some reason it just doesnt bother me. and now that ive totally disgusted you all...

i finished my book today. in fact i spent all day reading it. as proof as to how awesome this book was it doesnt feel like i read all day at all. but when i think back as to what i did all day... i come up with various spots around the house and yard (mostly the yard) that i lounged in reading.

~thats where i broke off, and where i cut in~

the problem with really good books is that they end. so-so books, the endings come and go and its all the same to you. but the books you really enjoy, leave you wanting oh so much more. this is why i have piles of books on my shelves that i have read 3,4 maybe even 5 times because i crave something in those pages that isnt anywhere else. i have books that i loved and would recommend in a heartbeat but ive never read twice. i really dont know what it is. the sad thing is, like i said before, these books arent particularly reknown for their complexity or literary value. all i can say is that for me, the best books are ones that allow me to escape. the ones that dont require me to puzzle my way through are the ones who do that. this doesnt mean i dont enjoy a tough read or something educational once and a while, but what trully relaxes me is the escape. and now ill stop talking about this because i think i may have too much in the past few posts.

anyways, after my conversation with viki i didnt particularly want to come back on the computer and i had nothing pressing to read anymore so i did something i hadnt done in a loooong while : got a bowl of ice cream and plopped myself down in front of the tv. my brother joined me after a while. we were watching some special presentation of a cirque du soleil show. jaysus are they random. just when you think you've seen the most whacked out thing possible, they throw some more crazy shite at you. i could have sworn that in the end when all the performers came out to salute the croud in the end that they were all waving spoons. we made fun of just about everything, as is our ways. apparently, late sunday nights there is a half hour dedicated to canadian short films. the first one was done in the style of the old silent film. you know the ones, where they print the dialogue in the screen and the actors pull all these exagerated faces and its all choppy looking and to some hoaky music. except this one was of a teddy bear with extreme bad luck. he finds an old doll, called dolly, and loses her. most of the rest of the five minutes are spent with him bemoaning his bad luck, all written on the screen complete with expressions such as "ZOUNDS!" and "GADZOOKS!". in the end he finds his dolly and they live happily ever after because he didnt give up looking. it was cute and funny and undoubtably had some meaning that was, needless to say, lost on my brother and i. next was a bit longer one about a boy with bulimia. it was well shot but it seemed to be trying to be something big by trying to be incredibly vague and ending way to quickly. the boy decides he wants to end his destructive way of life rather spontaneously and it seemed rather unrealistic. perhaps it just needed to be longer... next up was a thrilling episode of walker texas ranger guest staring none other than *theatrical gasp* HOLLYWOOD HULK HOGAN!!!!! yes, our favorite washed out wreastler turned actor was right up there fighting crime with Walker. the fantastic duo were helping out a christian community center in a "dodgy" neighbourhood. the kids visiting the center, all mini-thugs, use baskeball to bridge their differences and work together as a TEAM!!! unfortunatly the same cannot be said for their older siblings who duke it out in rival gangs, both fighting for the favour or a druglord. eventually, walker and hogan talk some sense into the gangs (hogan retelling his moving story of how he was once like them but god showed him that anger was not the way) and THEY form their own basketball game too and learn to work together as a TEAM!! in the end the drug lord is taken down while more inperational messages are drilled into your skull and blah blah blah. i know i have not showed you the ultimate cheese and barfworthiness of this show but let me assure you, if the plot hasnt made you want to cry yet, the dialogue would have. after that we watched the begenning of some movie i dont know the name to and have no real idea what its about but was terribly predictable. so after calling their moves accuratly for about 15 minutes, my brother and i got bored and head off to bed. or he to bed and me here, more accuratly...

so that was my evenning... or at least after my soccer practice. did i already talk about that? *scrolls up* only in passing apparently. i still cannot stress how great soccer usually makes me feel (there are exceptions to every rule). especially this year, im having a hard time imagining when the time comes to put it asides for the winter. im really hoping they have a team this winter at school. in any rate, tomorrow is the dreaded/anticipated chelsea-aylmer match. these are kind of like darcy-philemon games, or sens-leafs games. i mean competition wise, obviously. they're the rivals. we have history. every game with them usually does not go well. they fight dirty, they bitch at everyone and are just overall unpleasant. whats worse is that we are playing on their feild meaning that we wont have the super-strict aylmer ref to keep them in line (and piss them off). but hey, im always up for a fight and a challenge when it comes to sports so im really looking forward to this game. we are two pretty evenly matched teams (or at least have been in the past) so this should me intersting (famous last words...)

well, i think im out of things to say... (what, so soon?)

and viki, i still hate you. damn you and you sweet talking...
