"ah, fuck it"

someone was telling me the other night that when making important decisions, just do what makes you happy, because in the end, thats all that matters. now this actually makes alot of sense providing that you actually have morals and hurting other people DOESNT make you happy. so at the time, this seemed to be pretty accurate. but as it is with these situations, once you are on your own, you get more time to think. do what makes you happy... sounds simple right? but how do you know what would make you happy? or what if what makes you happy will be, well... ruined by by-products. see, the sad reality is that when finding what makes you happy, you pretty much HAVE to consider how your actions will affect others or how others will react to it. the whole "other people's opinions dont matter" shpeal is a load of bull.

this is right along the lines of the "ah, fuck it" theory. when you really want to but it just seems to be so many reasons why not. then you say "ah, fuck it" and do it anyways. you see, ive used this most in important decisions in life, such as switching programs. but this also doesnt work all that well when other people are involved.

all i can say is that life isnt supposed to be this damn WEIRD.
