hey, we're normal!
so im at my grandparents' house now, using their odd computer... (its old). i had to leave the dinner table because i thought id burst out laughing until i cried and that would probablt insult my grandfather who was talking at the time. so we're sitting around after dinner and talk turns to the election. everyone agreed that all our choices looked pretty dire and no one seemed keen on voting liberal again. in fact my papie flat out REFUSED to vote for martin. my uncle said he was more than likely voting green and my mother seemed inclined to agree. talk turned to how our society would have to completly change their philosophies on life and reconsider priorities (meaning no longer having money as a high objective) in order for the green party to ever have any power (as they do in many countries in Europe). my grandfather starts out with "now i dont mean to sound biggoted.." and continues on to blame the major part of consumerism on "the jews". (insert emily almost squirting her mouthful of milk all over the table.) of course, he reasoned, who had all the money? obviously THE JEWS were the ones controling most of the capital and making it all about money. who did we think was behind everything in Hollywood? he carried on to inquire as to why did we think Hitler was trying to exterminate them. they were controlling the money too much and of course Hitler said that "this wont do...". this is where my mom figured he went to far. i mean, she was arguing with him the whole way through but thats where she got more upset. anyways, thats also where i had to leave the room because i thought i would burst into a fit of giggling. i cant help it, the uneducated are funny. well, i know its not funny that he actually BELIEVES all his stuff but he's old and stuck in his ways... arguing does very little with him, it never has. he's probably my only family member who openly (i say openly because i havent heard of any others) dissaproves of my choice of switching programs. he just grins and says slyly ( like he's on to me) that its because its EASIER. its funny, i always thought my family was perfectly wholesome and such. its almost a breath of fresh air to finally see some conflict. i know, im weird.
(insert traumatised look here) okay that is just too icky to post on here... ask and i might tell you but... *shudder* (backs away from computer)

I know it's hard to imagine, but there have been rather suspicious events involving the jewish community ever since modern capitalism came around :) And not only that, but they inexplicably seem to gather ungodly amounts of sympathy from the various superpowers (note Israel's relationship with the US).
Also.. Marxism is the answer. Not the Green Party..
