so yeah, about that soccer game..

i promised more news and im never one to dissapoint (despite the fact you probably couldnt care less :P)

i think the end score was one nothing for the other team. one of the hull teams (there are two). but it was a good game nonetheless. they had about 15 players and we started out with 10 which means we were one person short on the feild. player number 11 showed up with about 10 minutes to go in the first half so that helped on the second half. but the first half... ouch. i dont think ive EVER been that tired during a soccer game. and ive played in 30 degree weather, with 9 players (which by the way is the least amount of players you can have on the feild, otherwise you lose by forfeit) and in every unfavorable conditions you can possibly imagine. but monday, for some reason, was the worst. near the end of the first half i was absolutly dead. not just out of breath, that one i can handle. i mean dead. my legs felt like lead. i could barely lift the off the ground. the best i could manage was a shuffling jog. at one point i tried to jump for a header but the best i could manage was get off the ground about half a foot. it was sad. anyways, second half i got my second wind or i just conserved my energy better or something since it was much better. as me and jasmine quickly discussed in a pause during the game, second wind is where it's at. first wind? overrated. these types of conversations are the best. the 30 second ones which usually involve a snide comment about ref or the other team or something along those lines while someone is preparing for a throw in. anyways, it was a rather rough game and the ref was whistle happy. i would like to congratulate my cousin jasmine (AKA The Tank) on her AWESOME tackle awarding her a yellow card. *tear* im so proud... no jasmine, seriously, it was REALLY cool. fortunatly for me, i tried a similar stunt which involve me and the other going flying but i guess it looked worse for me since he awarded it in favour for our team. it was totally my fault but being small has its advantages. anyways, once our team gets some practices under their belt im sure we'll be able to beat this team no problem. its only a matter of time. im looking forward to our next game which is in gatineau somewhere i think...

oh yeah, the muscle soreness is down. i did however pick up a wonderful case of poison ivy on my leg from the game. next time the ball goes off into the woods, ill let someone else get it.
