of teenage rebellion

my mom was on some sort of rampage this morning. she yelled at me over the state of my room which, yes, was messy, but its my room, so why should she care? she yelled anyways and i didnt dare dissagree with her. she said some stuff about how this was her third time asking or something but i zoned out... i did it once, which wasnt to her satisfaction so she yelled some more. now im no longer little child. i wont cry or refuse to do it or make a big scene. i didnt storm off and slam the door. i am however a young adult (or a teenager if you prefer) which means i DID pick out a cd i knew she would dislike and played it much louder then was necessary (ie VERY loudly). and yes, it did make me feel better. mmm... the strokes...

anyways, enough about my minor war with my mother and on to other things. we got our new microwave. correction: we got A microwave. ours spontaneously stopped working about a month ago and let me tell you, you dont realise how much you rely on something until its unusable. my parents ordered one that would go with the new kitchen (comming to a house near you in mid-august). how exactly one picks out a mircowave to match a kitchen is beyond me but it is very large (at least compared to the old one) and made of stainless steel. you actually dont notice how big it is until you open it. then you realise you could park a small car in there. need a garage? no problem! just borrow my microwave! anyways, i celebrated the return of a microwave into this household by having a cinnamon bun heated in the fore mentioned appliance. it was gross.

im hoping that tonight i can have fun with friends without getting down about stupid stuff. (oh god, my brother is eating a bun downstairs and i can smell it from here... the HORROR!!!!)i really just want to have fun. i also realised i dont worry so much about making an idiot of myself while drunk when im with close friends. id be lying if i said i worried about that last time i drank with someone i didnt really know but i felt rather embarressed afterwards whether it was waranted or not. anyways, im hoping to have a comfortable fun evenning.

here to hoping...

Your microwave sounds a lot like mine, which is the cadillac of microwaves. We fit an entire baby in there once. Jsut ask Alex.
